Landis Cook, a Hollywood veteran, has won numerous awards for his screenplays, teleplays, and game design. He worked his way from a writer's assistant for blockbuster film directors to becoming a regular staff writer for television shows.
As a journalist, he covers the industry for film, video game, and screenwriting trade magazines. A veteran Hollywood story editor, Cook served as Creative Executive and Story Editor for major entertainment companies for Trimark Pictures and story analyst for several movie and television companies including Fox Family Channel, Saban Entertainment, and Evolve Entertainment. He is a noted speaker and judge for screenwriting courses and contests including the $1 million Kingman Screenplay Contest, the Dimension Films First Look Contest and the Paradigm Agencys Open Door Contest.
Cooks interactive writing includes contributions to the multi-million selling CD-ROM games LucasArts' "Star Wars: Demolition," Broderbund's "Riven, The Sequel to Myst," "Command & Conquer II - Tiberian Sun," "Command & Conquer - Red Alert" and "The Journeyman Project 3, Legacy of Time." Cook holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and a B.A. in Journalism from Marquette University.
